This represents a pivotal step in the therapeutic process, where the psychologist analyzes the information gathered during the clinical interview and initial assessments to gain a precise understanding of the client’s difficulties. Diagnosis relies on a scientific approach that combines clinical observation, multiple psychological tests, and internationally recognized criteria for identifying mental disorders as outlined in ICD-11.

The Wechsler Intelligence Scales Test (WISC/WAIS) is a psychological test to measure the level of intelligence and cognitive abilities in children or adults.

It measures:

  • Verbal comprehension: measures the ability to use and understand language.
  • Working memory: measures focus and the ability to retain and process information.
  • Perceptual/visual-spatial reasoning: Measures the ability to solve problems using logical reasoning and visual imagery.

Stanford-Binet Intelligence Test

The Binet intelligence test is considered one of the most famous and reliable intelligence tests. It is a standardized scientific measure that is appropriate to the age and mental abilities that develop in a person as they get older.

The Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales – Fifth Edition – measures nonverbal and verbal abilities in five different areas:

ADHD test

The test measures the degree of hyperactivity and attention deficit and identifies the type of disorder.

1) Distraction:

Its proportion is higher among females than males.

2) Hyperactivity and impulsivity:

Symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsivity are more common in males. Its proportion is higher among males than females.

3) Common type:
